  • "Physics talks given by professors of our faculty about the foundations of
modern physics, and their impact on our society. These talks will take place
the last friday of every month (begining in March) at 3 PM at the auditorium, Prof. Ninoslav Bralic, Campus San Joaquín, PUC. They will cover themes such as relativity and quantum mechanics with their present and future implications in our daily lifes." see: www.fis.puc.cl/~rbenguri/coloquios/paginainicial.html

  • Open House: A special day when all our experimental laboratories will be open to the public.

  • Physics demonstration for elementary and middle school students. These would be given by under graduate students of our faculty.

  • Chile regarding the World Year of Physics, Universidad de Chile, Santiago. see: http://www.dfi.uchile.cl/~fisica2005/

  • "In Santiago College, the celebrations of the World Year of Physics 2005 commemorating the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein’s “Miraculous Year ”were launched in a special Assembly .A presentation on the Life of Einstein and his Achievements was shown to the school. The students were invited to participate in a series of activities ranging from Poster-Making, Exhibits, Talks and Research projects. The staff and students have pledged to switch off their lights on 18th April to be part of the Physics Enlightens The World Event. An exhibition of these posters will be arranged and students, teachers and parents will be invited to view the posters and learn more about Physics concepts, the impact of Physics in daily life and the importance of Physics research for development in the 21st century."
